Default Tow Hook Cover

I purchased my 928 last June. Didn't notice it then, but yesterday while cleaning my car I noticed the hole where the tow hook screws into in the rear above the license plate. Is there supposed to be a cover for that? If so, do either 928 Specialists or International have that item? Do the come in different colors?

The GTS "plug" looks a lot like an over-engineered baby's pacifier. Has a big pull ring on it to facilitate easier removal. Black rubber. Hmmm. Useful for the front after you manage to get the %$@&! original screw plug out. It protects the threads from FOD and corrosion until you need to use the tow hook. In the rear, I'd be more tempted to fit up a plastic electrical hole cover, painted to match the car color so it disappears above the plate there. The opening in the shell isn't round/flat, so you may need to do a little creative bending of the plug, adided by a heat gun, to get one to fit to your satisfaction.

So what your saying is that orinally there was no cover for this until the GTS's
came along? Had I bought my 1990 928 new, I would have had a problem with that!
