Regardless of Marks PERSONAL matters, is there a reason for folks taking jabs at him?

I'd hate for a new member to get a "first impression" of the guy from this thread without knowing his contributions to the forum and 928 community.

Who is taking jabs at Mark? There are a few people with outstanding orders looking for their product and many other curious what the bigger picture is.

Mark is a known guy around here - any "jabs" I'm sure are in good fun. I've had my arguments with the guy - but have nothing but 100% respect for him and his opinions. I'm sure most around here feel the same.

I'm considering buying one of his turbo kits, but I'm not sure about this particular 928 as a candidate for a whistling snail yet. I doubt anyone is jabbing at him- they were giving Kuhn a bunch of sh*t a while ago, but I guess Mark can't afford the Rennlist sponsorship is all.

My bad... I think the comments about "paying for sponsorship" threw me off

Guess I'm guilty by association on this one

I have been busy moving to Columbus, Georgia as I have taken a job there. I started working there mid-September and have been commuting on weekends to and from Columbus.

In the last 3 months: Our daughter Caroline was born, started Turbo project, accepted new position in Columbus, put my house here in NOLA on the market and bought new house in Columbus (close Dec. 15).

Things will hopefully start settling in at the first of the year once I get moved there with my family.

I'm still around, just not a whole lot of time to chill on R-list at the moment.

Peace

p.s. waiting on inner-cooler piping from Mark to complete the conversion.

Wow! Been there, done that.

Kid # 1 was in diapers. Was expecting kid # 2 in about a month. Found a larger, more expensive house to buy, when we weren't even looking.

Put in an offer on the new house, thought they would never take it. They did.

Old house wasn't even on the market! Did a mad scramble to get the old house ready to sell (4 yrs of deferred maint all squeezed into 3-4 weeks).

Wife and I took a day off from work to do the final clean up and prep on the old house the day before it went on the market. The real estate agent's open house was the next day and we were working feverishly to get it ready.

Phone rings. Its the VP of my dev group at work. She never calls me - tells me I am laid off. I can come in the next day to get my stuff.

AND it was our wedding anniversary day!

Wife: Who was that honey?

Me: Uhh, the VP of my dept at work.

Wife: Oh really? What did she want?

Me: Umm, I just got laid off.

Her: Stunned silence...

Me: And oh yeah, Happy Anniversary Honey. I love you.

Well, we freaked almost called the whole new house purchase off, but we decided to buy it anyway and everything worked out just fine.

Bought the new place. Sold the old place. Got a new job. Had kid # 2.

Celebrated anniversary somewhere in there too.

Whew! Exhausting just thinking about it.

So good luck and hang in there! -Ed
