seen this one in ebay several times.
it is left hand drive which spoils the value in England.
It is also not clear how they got the motor to be 5.2 litre or if there is any proof about the claimed 400 hp.
Body is certainly interesting if you like that sort of thing

Marton,
If the BS is true it would not be a bad car.
I want to see the interior as well.
Depends what it goes for but I am interested.
Know of anybody in the UK who has had a butchers at it?
Roger

Gemballa is not known for doing engine mods.
Usually just interior and exterior work.
So unless the owner took it elsewhere for engine work,
my guess is that the engine is stock, but it impresses the current owner,
so they think it has more power. But without driving a stock 928 to compare...
how would they know? They just think that since it is an exotic tuner car, it must be special.
My guess is that they are looking at a bill for an engine rebuild, or something like that...

I have to say i think that looks a bit off. For one i hate the front bumper, the 928 is very clean, flush bumper and this one has a lip on the bumper, which makes it look like the euro cars from the 70's here in the US that had tacked on bumpers that ruined the looks of the car. I think the styling is obviously different but i certianly dont think its better.
Would love to see what the interior looks like though.

I like the overall look and that fact that in theory it was a limited edition converted by Gemballa.
I am interested to see what Nicole knows about it.
Interesting that Gemballa did not do engine work - you learn something new everyday.

No me gusta, I don't like the body kit. The lower spoiler kit on the back looks like a handrail that goes across the rear body, seriously :-). No interior pics. But hey, its an Automatic.

I had a look at the Gemballa web site and they do specialise in exhaust and engine modifications as well as the body kits. They also still use the "Avalanche" name on current cars.
Need someone in the UK to have a look for me.
Any Geordie's out there?

I never liked Gemballa's exterior treatments of the 928, but they did some awesome interior work If I wanted custom of the 80ies, I'd go Strosek exterior and Gemballa interior.
Of course, today one would go Budd, Champagne or Motorsport SLC and Jager/Hooked On Cars for the interiors...
