honestly they shouldnt bubble for at least 10 years. That seems to be the life expectancy with the older tint. I wouldnt be suprised if the new metal tints last longer though.
On a side note. My car is tinted and the front windows have marks on the inside where the tint is scratched from something on the inner door when the window is lowered. I thought this was just something with my car. But at Sharktoberfest I noticed quite a few other cars with these scratches in the tint as well. Not always in the same spot but it seems there is something inside our doors that is damaging our tint. I would prefer to fix this problem before putting in new tint and having it get scratched the first time i lower the window.

I paid just over 200 for mine to be done. The quarters are one peice. The shop I go to uses the outside of the quarter to form the film. They use a heat gun to form/ curve the tint to the shape of the window. It is then removed and placed on the inside. This works really good. The only complaint I had is that there were some small cuts in my quarter rubber from when they cut the film to shape with a razor after it was formed on the quarter.

Hey
As RyanP. mentioned... You will want to change the felt on the window guides to be 100% sure of no immidiate scratches from years of crap stuck to them.
After I got my tint a few months back it only took a couple up and down cycles to leave 2 big thick scratches on each of the windows. Sucks, but I'll live...
Good Luck

Parker,
I was wondering where it came from, the felt makes the most sense as the window will be in contact with it throught the cycle going from up to down or vise versa.
I wonder what those cost? They should be cleaned at the very least if not replaced.
