John,

This sounds like fun and I might have been able to come down and meet everyone and possibly lend a hand but it's the wife's birthday weekend. This looks like the closest group to me, so if you meet monthly I hope to make one soon.

After the TB/WP is done, I'm going to be looking forward to a 300 mile cruise .

Hey O'le Buddy, send me an address with zip and I'll do my best to make it. I saw an 87 (I think) with MD plates at Summit Point this WE at the Potomac DE. He was watching. I didn't get a chance to talk to him, I was on my way to Pit Out to work, and he was gone when I got off.

Guys,

Ever since the first post, I've been lurking in the background. I have been corresponding with tomcat via PM. Unfortunately this coming Saturday is when my two passions collide. I am fencing in a tournament in the afternoon, but I will try to get by early. I will need to be on my way NLT 1:30. I know where Chamilka lives and it's only about 15 minutes from my house. So if all goes according to plan, I'll see you guys on Saturday.

Someday I'll have to make one of the gatherings, but not this month. Friends coming in for the Miami vs Maryland football game.

Don,

It's a bummer you can't make it. Heard a lot about your sc'ed shark and would love to see it and meet you.

Check you schedule for the following week:

Well, Jerome's a doubtful participant. "She who must be obeyed" has pointed out that there are several hundred thousand leaves waiting quietly for my assistance in getting them to the curb for pickup. She has appointed herself as their spokesperson and has totally negated my response.."I didn't put them there... they fell on their own". BTW that response has never worked, but one day.... one day...

You guys have a great time and I'll see you in December.

Jerome,

You know you missed a great time. Oldtee fixed the leak in no time (bad washers), good food and premium beer (thanks to Chamilka and his wife), and we met S4-on-your-back-door (owner of a home-made blower).

Hope you wipped some *** today.

BTW, what do you mean by "December?"

See you next week!!

[QUOTE=tomcat]Jerome,

Hope you wipped some *** today.QUOTE]

I was fighting for my life a couple of times. I had some really aweful bouts but, I had some real show stoppers. I spent a good deal of time answering questions about the shark. This was a "Veteran" tournament (e.g. age 40+) and a lot of the guys knew about the 928, but hadn't seen one in a long time. In a parking lot full of Mercs, Range Rovers, Bimmers and Jags, the Shark drew a crowd. The most common comment was "I didn't know Porsche still made those". You should've seen the jaws drop when I told them the car was 19 years old!

I'm glad everything got fixed and you guys had a good time. I'm sorry I missed it.... maybe transporter technology will be perfected soon and I really can be in two places at once.

What's happening next week?

I think many of us hear that.
But if Porsche reintroduces the "928" in 2012 like the car mags. are speculating, we may no longer hear that.
We might start hearing "Hey, is that one of those new Porsches?"
