I want Pascha

I'm bummed. One of the things I liked most about the 928 I bought in August was the Pascha Op Art interior. Even before I got it back from the mechanic I started looking for replacement material, as mine is badly faded and has some small tears. This forum was my primary source for finding dealers, and they've all come up empty. To be sure, here is some material out there, but it's the wrong color. I need black & white/gray.

It's been a frustrating and disappointing search. I thought I had found some at Lemans in New Zealand and ordered it, but when I opened the box it was black & white/tan. I spoke on the phone with and emailed photos to Sitzklinik/Cartek in Germany, and they said they had it. Coincidentally my parents are in Frankfurt this week and made a side trip there to see the material, and it turns out to be black & white/tan as well. Sitzklinik actually refers to my color as black white/blue, which is part of the frustration; the Op Art material seems to be different colors depending on how the light color catches the light. So talking about colors can be confusing. Adding to that, the black on mine has faded to the point that it appears green, and I've never been absolutely certain until Sharktoberfest that it was indeed black. I have a sample of Blue white/gray that could be a possibility. I've contacted 3 other references I found on this forum, all with no luck.

So now I'm considering my options.

* I still have the 4 meters of black & white/tan I bought from LeMans. I can't decide if it would look OK with my metallic silver, black vinyl 928. Anyone know if they actually came in that combination? Or can suggest other colors that did come with that combination?

* Anyone know of a private source that might have a hoard of this stuff?

* I'm open to used seats in good condition. Front & back, plus door panels. I looked through 928 Int'l's inventory at Sharktoberfest, and they don't have any Pascha seats.

* Other suggestions?

Have it made. I agree it is wonderful.

Where would I have something like that made?

Edgy01 11-02-2006 02:55 PM

I never knew the name for that stuff. Good luck in your search.

Hey, another Santa Barbarian! I'll watch for your Blue 997. Were you on the run to Malibu last weekend?

I've been looking for Pascha too. I was planning on doing my interior with it.

No luck either. I'll post something if and when I find it.

I can certainly tell you where to get non Black & White/gray/blue if that's what you're after. It kind of looks to me link the interior of your red one in the picture is brown. That's still easy to find.

Use the material on the roof....you know, like the Caddys and Buicks of the 1970's and early 80's. Be the first with a Pascha exterior padded roof panel.

Or make a suit out of it. Man, that would set you apart at the next Sharktoberfest. :roflmao:

The last time I checked (11/02) you could buy the pasha op-art cloth from Dave Nunn in the UK. His email is southbound@ukgateway.net and the cost was 59.50 pounds sterling per meter plus shipping.

You do mean November 2002, not November 2nd? No, I checked with Southbound and he's sold out of black & white. He's still got tan and maybe some others.

Maybe Paul C. could make some op-art replica pasha in LEATHER. Lotsa squares.
