Ryan
I also would love to read the articles.......maybe scan them onto a PDF, burn onto a CD and sell for a minimal charge to cover your costs? Put me down for one!

I think it would be great if there were a " 928 article " thread. Similar to the random pic thread, only 928 articles.

I would be interested seeing anything you have Ryan. Converting scans to PDF keeps quality high yet makes file size small. Jim's CD's have few articles in PDF format.

There are 5 or 6 of these magazine collections all together. Few of them are not available anymore. Some articles appear in several of them. Collections do not have any Excellence articles if I remember right.

I am going to start going through my collection and pull magazines with relevant information and will start scanning in the coming days. A Fellow rennlister has offered their help and hopefully we can get a page up in the next couple weeks.

I would hope that if it is done that others would also be willing to add to it, with any other articles that i do not have as to create a fairly complete library.

I was looking thru a used book store and found old copies of (Chri sto pho rus) these are back in the 80's with production line photos I posted sme of the pics on socal 928 but there is alot more I didn't post the Magazines are larger than my standard scanner 9 3/4 '' by 11 and the cover photos are double since they continue the picture on the back of the Magazine. I have not been able to get my pictures to post on rennlist and hope I can get them posted along with my profile pic

These three are still available from Brooklands books:

Besides those there is older version of Gold Portfolio, even older version of Brookslands road test collection made in eighties and similar to those but much worse quality Unique Motor Books road test collection. Three in pictures contain all arcticles which are in older two of Brooklands books so they are really only collectors items. Unique collection has some mainly UK magazine articles like Lynx cabrio conversion which aren't included in any other five.

Above are missing almost entirely for example all Christophorus, Excellence, 911 & Porsche World, GT Purely Porsche, Automobile Magazine and Sports Cars International articles not to mention all german, french etc language magazines. It would be great to have all those scanned and converted in PDF. 928CS site has some of these already.

Brian,

Watch for the 'contributions to cover costs' idea. Several people have pointed out potential copyright infringement issues. I don't know what the rules are, but I'm darned sure that if you wanted to charge for reprinting these or publishing them in an online format, there would be legal ramifications.

Having said that, if these were made available, I'd be interested too.

I've offered to help Ryan with posting the articles. They will be hosted on my web site, and I won't be asking for any contributions. I also plan to make it quite clear that I will gladly pull any article if the copyright holder takes issue with its availability online.

I have some old stuff from Panorama and European car, let me know if you would like to add to your collection in exchange for a copy of what you get together.
