Default MB Quart Install Question - Removing the MB Quart grills

For those familiar with MB Quarts: I just received my MB Quart QSC 216s and 210s to install in my 928 and want to use the factory grills and housings. However, the MB Quarts came with their grills and retaining rings already on the speakers. So, (I am embarrassed to ask) how do you get the MB Quart speaker grills and retaining rings off? Do they pry off, twist off, unscrew, etc? These were expensive so to am being very gentle with them and not trying to force/break anything. Thanks!

Sterling,
Sorry. I am not exactly sure of what you mean by "slide out" but that is not something I tired. The MB Quart metal mesh grill just pops out of the plastic housing? Just hook it and pull out? Then you can access the screws to remove the retaining ring? Thanks.

Hi Flott,

Sterling is correct, just hook (from the side of) the grill with something, and pull the grill out of the plastic retaining ring.

A dental pic works great.

These pic sets are just pennies, but they really help out from time to time.

Cheers,
Michael
