I am a realist, not a pessimist. Good 928s are hard to find, probably 9 out of 10 for sale will need about $10K (less d.i.y.) thrown into them right away..........including that white '86.5 automatic with (maybe) 38K miles on it. Broken odometer gear? Very frequent.
I love 928s but I don't love 928 owners who are cheap or resellers who don't care to be honest and straight. These cars can cause plenty of headaches for the unsuspecting buyer, one needs to be very careful buying a 928.
it has 39,000 miles as of today. Just because you have some piece of crap 928 don't bash mine. keep it up and i will sue you for slander.

What Ernie & Greg said - we do not need people like you on this board.

Carl is totally right in what he said - if you think his car is trash yours must be a piece of sh*t.
I would rather have Carl on this board as an honest member than 50 of you.
Carl is an honest 928 owner and occasional seller and I would trust him 110%

Lardog;

I'd like to invite you to this years Frenzy, and bring your sweet car. Please come and meet people like Carl. He is a fantastic guy in person with a chronic smile on his mug. In the grand scheme of things, it's not worth getting banned for.

And he may get around to it once he learns the difference between libel and slander.

I wish I got a dime every time someone on the Internet idly threatened to sue someone else for "slander".

Well despite the lapdog interuption...

I would stay away from this seller myself, for a couple of simple reasons...

Too much armourall for me, it is like he hoses the car off with the stuff...

He always puts a stupid sticker on the rear bumper cover... Why does he do that???

I liken attitudes like this to someone who rides a "ricer" going into a Harley bar, alone, and trying to pick a fight...

I think it's pretty hilarious that the buyer in this thread is asking advice about another seller, when he (the buyer) just sold a 1980 which he listed with 500 horsepower, and he sold for $7,000.

Tell ya what - I'll give Lardog the opportunity to apologize in this thread for his previous indiscretions.

If he chooses not to, he'll get the boot.

Penance is good for the soul, lad - your choice.

I can't believe how serious some people take Lardog. If the exchange isn't constructive, why address his posts. If ignored, he will either change his approach or go away. He usually starts with a fairly innocuous post, after which several people take a shot at him, then he has an excuse to accelerate the nasties and the war is on. He's just trying to have some fun at your expense and you're buying into it. Like Mom used to say, "just ignore him".
