Default Is may slave cylinder bad?

My clutch reccently began to drag, but only after the shark is good and hot (approx 10 miles of driving until symptoms appear.) After sitting over night, clutch releases fine for a bit then begins to drag again once hot.

I recentlly posted another thread "Need Clutch Help" where more detail on my delima can be found. In short, everything to do with my clutch has been replaced as part of my restore effort and has less than 600 miles wear. All mechanicals and hydraulics.

Upon taking a closer look at my slave, I noticed that the inside of the bellows was damp with brake fluid -- I noticed this only after removing the slave rod from the bellows. Exterior of the slave is dry. Is is normal to have some small leakage or does this indicate a bad slave? Did not initially suspect a bad slave because it is new and no significant amount of fluid was evident.

Hey, where's Randy?! "Please continue your previous thread"

Suspect it? Replace it! There should be no leakage with a new slave. Also, about 20x easier than swapping the master.

Thanks Glen,

I just wanted to concentrate on the slave here issue rather than the other stuff. Once the problem is resolved, I'll post the solution here and on the other thread. Man I hope this thing gets resolved. This new clutch has been one problem after another -- its longest reliable run was 500mi.!

I'm with you on the master. I replaced it about a year ago -- what a pain. Next time I'll just replace the internals.
