Default Orange County, CA Mechanic?

In a previous post I talked about a charcoal 928 that I was looking at. It's currently on eBay (http://tinyurl.com/hkrla), and the owner and I have a price set pending a PPI.

I'll need a mechanic in Orange County, CA to do a PPI for me. My first choice is Precision Motorsport. The current owner lives in Laguna Hills, so does anyone have a good recommendation for a South County mechanic?

Anyone want to go look at it in person for me?

Thanks,
Leperboy

What's your timetable? I am 10 minutes from Laguna Hills but this week is busy. I might be able to make it after work some night if that's ok with the owner. I can take a lot of pictures, though. Let me know!

You're not going to get a better PPI than Greg, and Laguna Hills is about 20 miles from his shop. If I were selling my car, and a buyer was paying for Greg Brown to give it the once-over, I'd drive it up there in a heartbeat. Hell, if the seller would let me, I'd drive the charcoal '86 (looks like a nice car, BTW) up to Anaheim for him/you. He does charge 3.5-4 hours of labor for a PPI, but you get what you pay for.....

Hi Rob,
We aren't going to close any deals until early next week, so if you can go look at it, I'd be deeply indebted. I went to school at UCI. Best seven years of my life living in Eastside Costa Mesa, Balboa Island, Newport. Let me know your timetable and I will get with the owner and see if it works for him.

His concern was the time it would take to go up to Anaheim and wait, so if we can work out a deal where you can deliver it to Greg, that would be cool.

e-mail me at matt@bigempire.com when you get a chance, and thanks.

Mark Hergesheimer @ Autosport M I ( 949-775-7961) is located in Lake Forest has worked on many 928s is much, much closer to the owner of the car. Just in case the logistics of getting the car to Anaheim becomes an issue.
