Good point Perry. I don't know if the same applies to Registered Retirement Savings Plans here in Canada but I suspect so.
I wasn't close enough to the people I referred to know if they lost RRSP savings but I know they lost the equity in their home and other substantial savings.

Allstate lets you designate a "primary driver" for each vehicle. For us it was simple: 3 people in household with 3 cars = 1 car per person. "The boy" was assigned as the primary driver for the '96 Honda Accord - the cheapest to insure. I did let my agent know that "the boy" occasionally drove one of the 928s. They said "No problem as long as you're in the car with him." Kinda hard when I had the two sharks! He drove one.. I drove the other.
