I decided to take my OB to the local car show today. After spending a couple of hours washing and waxing her, she looked pretty good, but nothing like the garage queens that I see at shows. To my surprise, I took third behind a Jag E-Type that looked better than it did when it rolled off the showroom floor
(the owner literally never stopped polishing and dusting the car off for the whole time it was parked there) and an old Austin-Healy in remarkable condition.
Now the car show bug has bitten me. I can see myself spending all winter cleaning my car with Q-Tips getting ready for next spring. My wife is starting to get nervous...
I'd post a picture of the car if I could only figure out how it works. It keeps telling me the file is too big...

Trying going to a photo-hosting site (like imageshack - no relation) and input/post the photo from there.

Congrats!
How many cars were there? Anything else interesting?
I've always loved the E-type, that's some nice company. They have car shows on the Jersey Shore every week during the summer. Mostly muscle cars, but you've got your British contingent that everyone likes. Usually lacking in German representation. We should get some nice examples together and set up a shark section. I'll post the locations when the season starts up again. We need more sharks at the beach.
BTW- You might have to crop the photos if they're too big. I think another photo hosting sight is called Snapfish (not affiliated).

The foreign sports car group was small. there were a total of 5 cars, with a Triumph GT-6 and a beautiful old Alfa Gulia to go along with my shark and the other 2 winners. The show was pretty big though, with probably 200 cars entered. Most of them were American Muscle cars. The biggest group had to be the Camaros and Vettes.
I'm trying to attach a picture of the car from yesterday. I didn't take any at the show (exept for pictures of this reall cute girl who was walking around). I hope this works...

Brian B, ...how it works.
Let's see, key in slot... turn CW to roar... pull lever to gear...
PRESS pedal to floor.
Nice lady of the lake.
Congrats on 3rd. Spend your prize $$ on q-tips and toothbrushes.
G'luck.
