at higher speeds i have to agree with 928 ss and heinrich, only the cops or those with big ***** are still going! having said that ive seen an indicated 170 in the black car and 170 on the gps in the orange one
apparently here in florida you go to jail , if 'officer brown' catches you speeding over 110mph.
so i'll keep it under that ... just in case

California the magic number is 100 mph OR racing and with racing they can impound the vehicle for 30 days at your expense in a lot full of crashed cars and a couple minimum wagers who move cars around with a forklift !!!! It is NOT a pretty picture your car out side in an open lot with lots of crashed cars ,tow trucks and the boys with the forklift shuffling things around and even in a "police impound lot" many items seem to grow legs and walk away.....What radio ?? the window was open and the battery was dead...sure it rained but only a couple days.. You better bring a tow truck when you come to bail out your car and CASH...

assuming they don't just crush it 1st.. from an evo site: .http://forums.evolutionm.net/archive.../t-213135.html

topnotchevo
One of my bros from Cali called me crying..They Impounded n crushed my car!!He was racing a Porshe on the Freeway at over 140mph.He was dumb to do so,but we all do dis s hit.
Cali SUCKS.. they have a new law, 20mph over the limit n racing they can impound and keep your ride n crush it...WTF!!!
The Porsche was let go, but the EVO w/stickers and all kinds of mods got taken,as well as him...directly to JAIL!!
CHP is popping everyone.Stickers give them resonable cause to stop and search.Once they find ANY mods u get a ticket ..atleast.
Feel sorry for the Mother ****er,but hes a poor lil rich boy from Newport Beach....
Dad will buy him another new toy.
Cali is picking on Jap Crap..Pull your stickers Ladies ...S hit.. move to AZ., We run up the Freeways at 150mph all night long w/valentines and jammers

maybe it's ok to race evo's here w/a pcar??? hehehe course it could be a while before you claim it - our govenator just signed a bill making street racing a felony. but I"d guess if someone won't let you pass to change lanes or is harrassing you and you are trying to get away - it's not your fault/hence no intent/etc....

A long time ago in NJ I was busted on Rt 287 in my 911 turbo racing some other NJRPCA bros. after our monthly club meeting (10:30 p.m).
All 5 of us unknowingly passed a unmarked state trooper doing 125+.
We spent several hours on the side of the road before being released.
That bonehead move cost me 5k to get my liscense back and 3 consecutive summer weekends doing community service (picking up trash on the side of the road etc).
Now I participate in driver's ed. Much more fun going fast on the track.
