RngTrtl: I can offer you an older demo-shifter in black leather and chrome. It is not 100% perfect cosmetically, but much nicer than what you have now. PM me your address, and I'll mail it to you!

maybe you guys have parts that would not be ok for you but with a little tlc on my behalf would be better than nothing.
just an idea
You can always give it a try. There were people here trying to sell squares on their race car, so why not a donation drive for a shark in need? You will find a lot more support for your cause than the guy with the squares... Most of us have something in the garage that we don't need but can't stomach to throw out, either.

I have a set of black floor mats you can have for the cost of shipping. They aren't they greatest, but I'm sure they'll clean up well.

Oh, cool! Then RngTrtl can cover the shifter plate from Dozman sent by Brian with Leather from Paul and add the shifter I am sending. By the weekend, this shark will have a much nicer console!

Default Mats are on the way

Hey Jalee,

I found the mats in my attack and the look pretty good to me. Besides the drivers mat, they almost look like new. Looking at the receipt, I reminisced about how my college driver was worth less than two sets of replacement mats. Anyhow, I think they might work and I checked on the shipping and it’s not worth fussing over.

I remember being in your exact shoes about 20 years ago (a struggling EE student) and admire your tenacity. A college student need a little beer money every now and again; so here’s to helping you keep your priorities in order!

:biggulp:

Mats shipped gratis via UPS! Oh yeah, send me a resume when you graduate… my employer from time to time hires High Voltage engineers for both power generation and distribution. You never know…

Cheers!

Seriously. The car I was driving at that age cost me less than I just paid for spark plug wires. I wish there was a forum like this for me at that time.

Nice work everyone.

Rng, you better pony up for a membership when you graduate and start making the big $$$ .
