What rim widths are those wheels? Were spacers used?

IIRC 9's on the rear and 8's on the front. Straight fit - 50ET on the front and 55ET on the back.

They were 996 take offs, but were on my 993 when I bought it, so they then became 993 takeoffs when I added RH AG Cup style wheels....ha!

I have 10 spokes also, and put on 1/4" spacers to get clearance for the wheel hub. Then used the 993 center caps.

Do the center caps have something to do with hub clearance? I thought the only solution was spacers since the machined opening in the wheel isn't deep enough to fit over the hubs.

The stampings by the valve stems show 7/50 and 9/55. I'm assuming that this means that they are 7" and 9". I didn't use any spacers and they fill the wheel wells pretty well. The tires are 255 40 ZR17 and 205 50 ZR17.

rear are same size/offset as the GTS, fronts are 10mm diff
you can use the GTS caps to get the right clearance

Default D90's

Hey Mike,

Did you throw out the D90's?

What's your address so that I can get them before the trash guy does?

Your car looks great, by the way. I was trying to talk this guy out of his 996 take offs for my '80 (ebay item #130030811216). New tires are nice, but the rims style is questionable. They were only on the 996 for one year (Y2K), so not that popular... Twists are more popular, and not nearly as expensive. Guy say's he's got $1600 in them, and won't come down below $1200... so I gave up on him. He can hang on to them forever if he wants.

Thanks for all of the compliments. My wife says they make the car look more feminine; more like a woman's car. Hmm, I wonder why she would say that.
The Design 90's are listed on eBay here.
