Anyone up for a drive early tomorrow morning. Thinking of mapping something in the S.Shore area if anyone is up for it.

I figure we're a few weeks away from storage at this point and I'm trying to get some time behind the wheel before it's too late.

My family and I are off to the Cape this afternoon in the Shark, when I get back I'll research some good routes and post a few options.

Jim any suggestions on a route which will be clear of traffic and a nice drive?

What time do you guys want to meet? I'm ok with anything early as well so I'll leave it open.

If we're all coffee drinkers we can pick up a quick fix at the Starbucks (Exit 12 of Rt3) before we go? I can also brew a pot here at my place if you guys want to drive to the coast in Marshfield.

There are plenty of local roads along the water in Scituate and Cohasset if we want to take a scenic drive by the ocean. For the full throttle guys we could head south on Rt. 3 maybe take a spin on the Cape? What time should we meet?

Talked to Carl brieflly earlier, we're thinking of meeting at the Starbucks in Marshfield/Pembroke and leaving from there. I'm up for meeting as early as 6:30AM but not sure if everyone else wants to meet that early.

A coastal scenic drive sounds fun and possibly mix it up with a few full throttle blasts to clean out the cobwebs.

I searched for places to drive online and looked at the map and the only area that seemed worthy was the Cape on route 6 but I'm not sure how much time everyone has. Carl is bringing a map and we can always finalize the plans over a cup of coffee.

What time works for everyone else?

 

ARG! I wish I could go. I would love to go. But, I cannot. My slave driver's hooking me into the chain gang from dawn to dusk tomorrow. In about two or three weeks you'll see the rocks I've been pounding.

Jim I just called Carl up, he lives a bit further north and doesn't think he'll be there until about 7:00.

Either we can change the meet up time to 7:00 or if I don't get a reply back from you I'll meet up at 6:30 and we'll wait for Carl and Bret to arrive. I'm sure we can find something to talk about in the meantime.

If anyone else reads this post and decides they can make it, the meeting point is due East off of Exit 12 and the Starbucks is on the left side.

I'll check in to see if you hit the Cape, hope you can post a note if you do, I'm working now but would try to catch up with your for a bit at some point. I'd advise Route 6A over Route 6 any day, but that's probably what you meant. Afshin- you weren't in Orleans, were you? Hope someone takes some snapshots. Fall might be a good time for Cape Anne at some point too, going all the way 'round presents some scenery and some nice roads, not for velocity but fun none the less.
