Default Zero2Sixty Keeping the 928 S4 4 ever....!

Well all guessed correct. My big brother in law (with too many drinks under his belt) fell through on the purchase of my 928. He originally agreed to $22,000.
The dropped to $21,500, $21,000, $20,500 and. He finally said make it $20,000 and we have a deal.

I have a 74 Cuda on the line that I was going to purchase with the $. Brother in law stopped answering e-mails and phone calls. What a looser.

I know he really loved the car. He never got to see if 100% out of its cover
or drive it.

So, there is a party this Sunday. He is going to be at the party. I am having the car detailed to the T-s on Saturday. Will drive it to the party on Sunday
and park it right in front of all the other cars.

If he says anything about the car- wanting to drive it or work out a new deal I will simply tell him car is not for sale at any price. If he wants to take it for a drive I will tell him there is a jago***ff clause on my insurance policy and it prevents him from driving it.

Anyways, I got to drive the car to work today. No way and I ever getting rid of it. Just an amazing car. I do not know what the heck I was thinking. Took me
1/2 a year to find. Why I ever thought about selling it in the first place is beyond me.

However, I still have this pit in my stomach. I think my brother in law just used this who situation to show he could get me down on the car to HIS PRICE. I sure wish I could pay him back and make him look like the fool?

Anyways, thanks for listening.

HA HA

yeah good point about the what were you thinking, took you half a year to find it. I think thats true in many of our cases, we probably looked at many cars and spent many hours trying to find the right car. To part with it on a whim really is a little weird but hey if the offer is good you cant ignore it. I told you before $22,000 was a hell of a price for an S4, but he must have seen others for sale for less and is blowing you off now.

So what, you get to drive the car everyday instead, you cant really loose

I know what you mean. Buying my 928 was love at first sight. I didn't even know what I was getting into except that I LOVED this car! Took a week to get a PPI and agree on a price. Yea..I paid more than I'll ever get out of it but I lucked out that it's always been a garage queen and carefully maintained. I love driving the 928 more than any car I've ever owned, and I've owned more than two dozen "interesting cars" and about as many POS cars. I will admit, however, there are times and places when a POS car is the perfect car for the task at hand.

The only other car I like driving better than my 928 is my 1972 Plymouth Road Runner. Lemon twist yellow with candy tangerine, brandy wide stripes.

The car has a 340. Hooker headers. Previous owner had an old granny exhaust system with
Walker mufflers on them Late this afternoon I took the old bird down to a great muffler shop here in Joliet Illninois. They cut the exhaust off from just behind the head flange and ran straight pipe back and curved it so the chrome tips come out just in front of the back tire.

The car now sounds like a nitro funny car. Everyone use to look at the Road Runner when I passed them. Now I see heads turning my way half a foot ball field away. Way cool! Just will have to let off the pedal when I pass a cruiser.

Just got out of the garage polishing those 18 inch rims on the 928. This is worse than being addicted to crack!

Sorry, let me re-phrase. I do not like driving the Plymouth better. It is just a different bird (pardon the pun)... It has 4 wheel drum brakes. Really have to put both feet on the pedal and push realllllllllllllllll hardddddddddddddd.

That is the great thing about car. They all have different personalities.

Well then, Bang somebody's sister.

Good decision. We all know you'll enjoy it, and the car too I'm sure.
