The extortion collectors have been going nuts the last two days. I don't know what's up. It seems to mostly be inspection/tax related, not speed traps. I've seen a few unmarked Intrepids lately and they do have new Chargers.

In Fairfax County personal property taxes (vehicles are taxed yearly) were due October 5th. The county usually gives a two week grace period and then BAM!!!...ticket time. I work for Fairfax County and this morning when I drove into the government complex there were 16 motorcycle cops headed out for a day of profiteering. Not sure about Loudon County - where the Frenzy events are - or Maryland.
Wednesday evening I saw 7 or 8 "sporty cars" pulled over on Rte 28 with 3 cruisers having a ticket writing party. I would advise everyone to consume cautiously - the Route 28 corridor is a magnet for speeding and alcohol related fatalities, and the cops do not have a sense of humor at DUI stops. BTW - don't even try to talk your way out of a ticket. Also, Loudon County law allows the cops to deny you your one phone call until AFTER you pass the sobriety test.
I do have access to the Fairfax County jail, so if you are picked up I can come to visit you ... and no... I will not bring you a cake with a file in it.
Not a sermon... just a message.
See you guys in a couple of hours.

I don't neccesarily agree with the law, I don't neccesarily comply with the law.... my aim is to not be subjected to the law.
Also keep in mind, in this area we probably have the highest concentration of lawyers in the galaxy.

My favorite saying... "99% of lawyers give the rest of 'em a bad name".
On a related note: Both my wingmen bailed on me this weekend (Derrick and Evan) so unless the weather lets up I may just bring an NSX.

Man, I am so bummed... I thought I would finally attend my 1st 928 event and now I gotta work till 1:00 Saturday. I got the 928 all ready and running beautifully, albeit at only 5 psi, but running like a clock. By the time I get off work, and get down there, prolly be over. Damn.

Randy thanks for having stickied this thread,
Everyone, thanks for a great weekend. Some events fell through but it was great getting together and meeting some new owners. Weather was beautiful.
Looking forward to next years event

It was great to see everyone again, it keeps the addiction healthy. All the regulars: Scott Mohr, Tom Falkenberg, John Cho, John Veninger, Dave and Jeannie, the Wayne's, Earl and Gary, Earnest Wong, and everyone else.
Drank a few beers...
Had the S4 buffed out after scratching the paint at a car wash, "nobody's fault but mine"...

I set up a page on the 928oc.org website for events that we are involved in, and will be updating it as I am aware of events. Hopefully this will help some people plan.
