The nicest rim ever for a 928.
Gemballa LeMans 18 inch lite weight aluminum wheel with optional gloss black center.
A nice blend of two classic Porsche wheels. The 3.6 turbo wheel and the original phone dial.
If I only had a spare $2800.00 lying around.

Awesome, thanks for all the comments and pictures.

Bill,
your Cup wheels are probably close to what I have in regards to how it would look. I have turbo twist 17' rims.
I figured it would be hard to get the lip painted silver or polished, since there isn't an edge to seperate the colors. How does the rim look close up? Any pics?

I am still undecided if I will go for it.
Thanks and regards,

Sab, here's a couple of pics. The rims are a bit dirty, haven't washed the car in a couple of weeks. The first two are front wheel shots and the last is the right rear. You can see a paint chip at the 9 o'clock position of the left side bolt hole. I have touch up paint, I just never get a round tuit.

My Black Chrome Powder Coated K28Rs are about as close to bronze as I have seen. Of couse it depends on what they are reflecting off of.

Bill, does your car have XD4 and XD9 options? If yes, are those wheels totally stock?

Erkka, I do have XD4, Porsche Crested Rim Caps, but not XD9. What is XD9? Is that for "rims painted body color"?

As far as I know, the rims are stock, but I believe the prior owner had them painted body color.

Yes, XD9 is exactly that. I'm trying to figure out if outside lip should be painted silver or polished and clearcoated. I was hoping yours would be answer.

Nice! I might just consider getting the K5 version of those someday, when I need to go a little fatter on my rear than 265s. I'll need that to get that twinscrew SC power to the ground ... now wait a second ... where is that SC, anyway?

I just recieved a set of K58s with Black Powder Coated Centers. 18x9 front and 18x10.5 rears. I will make you a killer deal on them if you are interested.

Concerning Twin Screw last I heard you weren't quite ready yet due to new garage, if you are for sure ready I can get yours out soon. Call me and let me know.

Your phone is about to ring...

(Oh, and for those listening in, I really have been busy with other stuff. I don't want to leave the impression that DR is neglecting a customer. Just having a little fun here.)

Thanks Dave, looks great.

Mine don't have a lip one could easily polish - the spokes flow in to the rim with no sharp edge. Basically this:

Except mine are 18s and the car is a GTS body.

I think I'll have to try bronze, unless anyone has any other ideas or opinions?

More black center wheel options with some serious steam rollers attached.

Now that looks seriously HOT! (except for the surface rust on the rotors - or at least it appears to be!)

Thanks Chaadster, I want to get some Azev A on the 928, and paint the centres black, but money is a little tight at the moment, and i'm concentrating more on maintinance first.

If I could find them though, i'd get some more OZ Futura split rims like on my Mercedes.
