Thanks for all the advise people. I have had no luck in moving the remainder of the bolt - it is stuck fast! Looks like I will have to drill.
Can anyone tell me if the bolt hole is blanked off (ie when I drill through any shavings will drop to the bottom of the hole to be picked up by magnet and not into the engine / head / water pump etc.
