When Jim becomes NLA, it'll be time for us to buy one of the "refreshed 928s" due to be out in 2011. Better start saving your pennies...or squirreling away those 928 parts that may become NLA. Actually, in case we total our cars, we'd better buy a spare 928 while we're at it. Can't be too careful about important stuff.

I read through the "explained" list.
The only item that I thought would be a serious issue was "Reverse gear" most everything else is likely to be able to be sourced from Parts cars or a replacement can be made or adapted from commonly available parts or resources. The ones that could be an issue would be stuff like Headlight relay, but even there I would imagine that the "electrically unchallenged " here and elsewhere could probably reverse engineer the current function and engineer a replacement even if it was a combination of a few standard relays and a whole bunch of wires plugged into a relay base.
Curious to see that 87-91 rear bumper cover is "just" nla. To my knowledge that has been NLA for at least 5 years.
So when do we decide which 5sp transmission is the one to start getting parts made for and which parts ?
