Default Mystery Hose...

Okay, I am overhauling the top end of my 86.5 and in PET it lists this hose for my engine VIN (it does not show it in the picture, P/N 928.107.603.00) but when I received it I cannot for the life of me figure out where it goes...hopefully someone out there recognizes it?? Maybe it's an update to replace some individual hoses??

Hey gbarron - that hose connects to left side of the oil fill turret as well as to several other lines - its #5 as shown in the picture below. Although the pic is from an S4, I am pretty positive your 86.5 will have the same hose in the same location.

Looks like that funky hose replaces 19-23, below.

I dumped that/those hoses, along with the vapor recovery tank.

Thanks for the replies guys, but this hose will not fit in that area. It's too small/short to replace the items listed in the parts picture 19-23 on my 86.5. Maybe the hose was labeled incorrectly from Porsche?

I would bet that your 86.5 intake is a bit different from my 87, that tube definitely fits my 87. Maybe you just got the wrong part shipped? Where did you get it from?

Hey gbarron,

Bill is right I replaced this hose on my 88 S4 when I did the intake, 928 SPECIALISTS list it as - Hose - Throttle Body >Oil Fill >Charcoal Vent 87-95

I don’t see it listed on the 85-86 Intake Removal/Refresh Kit for your car. It looks to be #5 in the photo above, running back under the intake and to a small charcoal canister.

Okay, that makes sense...looks like my car is 1/2 a year to young to use this hose! Back for credit!
