I cut out about 12" of the harness where all 15 wires were fused together by the passenger door. Now all you can see is one red wire in the bundle that has melted insulation. That one melted wire runs behind the fuse box, which looks good, and up under the dash. This wire is the reason that I bought a replacement wiring harness for the entire interior of the car.
By the way, only one fuse blew on the fusebox. I hate chasing electrical problems and don't have enough time at home these days to pull the dash apart.
The car is across town at a mechanic's shop, and I'm flying to FL for work, and Atlanta for the Petit Lemans next weekend before returning home, so I cannot take more pictures before the auction ends.
