Just a reminder, it's almost that time again. Hope to see you Thursday.
Following is a memo that was distributed:
Now that the weather is getting better, it’s time to seriously talk about what kind of 928 oriented get togethers we would like to plan. For those new to this list, we have been casually meeting on the first Thursday each month at the RAM in Fishers. Following is a link to a discussion thread that contains a little of the history.
https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=42802
For those that are familiar with Rennlist may know that the Chicago 928 contingent is paying us a visit April 21st to repay a gambling debt stemming from this years Superbowl. Also on the 21st the 944 guys have invited us to stop by their dyno day. Let me know if you would like to get your car on the dyno and I’ll get you the contact information. It’s going to run somewhere between $100 and $150 depending on volume.
Another idea we are kicking around would be related to the US Grand Prix. Please let me know if you would be interested in some type of gathering during this weekend. The local PCA group has a few activities planned that we maybe able to join or perhaps do something on our own. The 928 Owners Club has expressed they would be willing to help sponsor something if there is enough interest.
For now, let’s get together for a beer and a burger this Thursday. We usually meet around 6:30 ish in the parking lot, hangout till around 7 or so before going in. My car is partially disassembled and won’t be drivable for a few more weeks, but I’ll carry my cell phone so call me if you get there late and I’ll find you (440-6126).
In the past we’ve been a small enough group to simple grab a table in the bar area, but now that the list has ballooned we might need to reserve a larger table. Therefore, please let me know if you plan on attending or not. If you can’t make it, but still are interested in other activities... please let me know what you have in mind.

Kurt,
I do plan on attending this Thursday. If anything changes I'll let you know, but for now, save me a seat. By the way, still beaming from that ride in my GT? Ballbuster, huh?

Todd,
Driving the GT changed my whole perspective. If I get another one, it will have to be a five speed. Thanks for the ride and see you Thursday.

Hey guys, sorry I didn't make it or even phone, but we had a little accident in Marion that I had to rush to. My brother-in-law (21 years old), rolled his brand new Jeep off of I-69, hit a mileage marker, and ended up atop a farmers fence. Yes, believe it or not, he was wearing his seatbelt, but was drinking.......and above the legal limit too. 1.8 to be exact! Idiot! Anyway, he broke a rib, and is pretty beat up in general. I hope this taught him his lesson early. Anyway, we were there all night, and to be honest, after I got news of this, forgot all about the gathering anyway.
I really hope to make the next one. I was really looking forward to this one...............
deepest regrets, Todd Johnson
