I ordered this kit for my window trim which looked pretty faded, After I wiped it down with rubbing alcohol it shined right up... figures.

What type of alcohol is rubbing alcohol?

 

Isopropyl alcohol = rubbing alcohol

Is your quarter window trim the painted aluminum, or the newer plastic trim? I doubt the rubbing alcohol would work on the plastic, but event he painted type might fade again after a while.

 

Its the painted aluminum type, and it looks brand new.
