Yes I did with a dremel to cut a square in the disk backing plate and the problem is gone.

Doing the full calipper upgrade and experience some problems in the process. Have a -78 model.
Questions:
Where exactly to I place the spacer on the rear setup?
At the front: Bought the 993 rotor, but the diameter is to big. Do I need some others rotors.

Seems like this is the place to be. Thanks for the information. I just joined and paid the very reasonable fee this morning…I am from Australia in the country…so no one even thinks of a Porsche being cool out west…
All good stuff, if you have a 1981 928 or a 1982 928S…. what if you have a 1982 928…Australian delivered….
What are my brake update options?
