Default Sharks at Daytona OktoberFast

928 GET TOGETHER
WHAT: Sharks at Daytona OktoberFast
WHEN: October 13-15th(Fri-Sun)
WHERE: Daytona International Speedway-Daytona Beach, Florida
WHY: Coinciding with the 1st ever PCA races held there.

Additional Info: Sponsored by Brumos Porsche. Link to the OktoberFast website: http://www.pcadaytonarace.com/index.html

We should have at least two Florida 928ers racing & hope to have at least 20 Sharks and their owners attend the 3 day PCA race event. I've already been told by my local PCA rep that there should be no problems providing us an area to all park together & that he'd let the track officials at Daytona know our plans to gather there for the races. It will be a great weekend for races and gathering. Weather that time of year is incredible. Besides the racing and fun of a Shark gathering, there is always lots to do in world famous Daytona Beach. We need to start hearing from the masses as to who plans to attend. Besides those of us here in the Sunshine State, this is a great opportunity for those of you in Georgia to take a road trip & come down & visit with us too!

I'll be there. I also spoke with Mark Kuhn about it and he seemed interested as well.

Hey, how about banners and the like. Any possibilities for our own? Also, maybe those who commit to attend could show good faith, perhaps in the form of a bond. The old, "money where your Shark is " concept. Also, any DE info? deadlines, etc?

We're there! We will have the RV setup as home base for the 928 O.C. as soon as the track will let us in.

Any 928'ers needing some local knowledge or assistance please send a pm.

I bet Joe Celeste wants to go and Ross gets another chance at an appearance. Keep pumping this up the list. G

Based on what I've heard since our Sebring Shark Shiver in Feb., we should hopefully have a good turnout for this event.

I'm going with the "glass half full" approach. Maybe we could plan a big BBQ for Fri. or Sat. night. Bring extra chairs and circle the wagons, so to speak. G

oh yeah.... that applies no matter where you're at! Think the Krystals is within a mile or so east of the track on 92.
