Found my O2 sensor disconnected

I was doing some work on my car down by the fuse panel and discovered that my oxygen sensor was not plugged into the harness. After reading some of the archives on testing the sensor it appears that mine is working properly. With the engine at operating temp I get voltage readings between 0.2 and 0.8 VDC. I can't figure out why the sensor would not be hooked up. The PO removed the cat. I am wondering if they disconnected the o2 sensor at that time. Maybe they thought it was not needed without the cat in place. The car does not behave any differently with the sensor hooked up so I will leave it as is and see what happens, or doesn't happen.

It's like turning off your personal Computer to restart the operating system......
Essentially all you have to do is disconnect the battery long enough for the ECU to think it's been disconnected.
Seconds will do it, but count to 10 just to be safe............
