Default Another Shark in Va Beach

Hello All,
Figured I 'd take this opportunity to introduce myself and announce that I will soon have my 82 on the road! I'm somewhat new to the 928 and I've been prepping the car for DD duty over the last few months now. Some of my more recent fun:
-Temp repair of small crack in oil pan near drain plug
-Replaced shift linkage ball joint
-Replaced passenger door outside handle assembly
-Obtained second key
-removed dash from donor car for new leather cover(future project)
-changed out rear hatch (rust and minor damage, easier to replace)
-reset OXS counter
-just got the registration, plates and insurance

Still need to....
-Troubleshoot windshield and headlight wash system
-Install new chin spoiler (completely missing)
-replace windshield (Safelite coming out this Saturday,)
-get state safety inspection (hopefully right after windshield install)

And most importantly
-Take her on a good shakedown ride, hopefully full of twisty roads as well as high speed opportunities (just to find out if everything is working OK of course)

Funny thing is, so far I really enjoy working on this car. Makes me wonder sometimes if I own the car or the car owns me.

Take the car out to Blackwater for some good twisties and also some good long straight (cop free) stretches. Crags causeway has a real good couple of turns on it as does Baum Rd.

Good Luck

We definatly need more sharks in the Hapton Roads area.
About once a month I'll see another one over here on the Penninsula, but NEVER when I'm driving mine...odds are just too great I guess.

There are some good curvy roads out in Smithfield, (Rt. 620 towards Wakefield and Ivor, IIRC), but you already have a P car so you've probably already got your favs.

Enjoy

Bit of bad news. Safelite can't get the glass. They say it's a dealer item. Wish they would have told me up front during the quoting process. After searching the "list" it looks like a common problem. I may be able to get one late next week from another source. Thanks for the road test suggestions! I'm in the Dam Neck area so I think I'll scoot over to Blackwater road in the 944S for a little fun. Should be neat to compare the same runs when the 928 hits the road.
