Big believer in PM and WYAI. From what I've read on the 928 site the Griffiths compressor comes with new hoses and a drier. Add an expansion valve and a set of O rings the whole system is done and should last another 18 years

All kidding aside, great stuff. Now where do I find someone to rebuild my hoses?

John--

The local AC shop near my old house in Orange County, Cali does them all the time. Do you live near Cypress or Mission Viejo/El Toro area. AM Auto AC & Electric. Otherwise, a better industrial hose place should be able to rebuild them for you. The technique is the same as what's normally used for hydraulic hoses, with the sleeve swedged on over the rubber.

HTH!

Bob-

Looking for AM Auto AC and Electric, I only found a # for the Cypress shop, located at 5032 Lincoln Ave, Cypress, CA 90630 , phone # 714) 871-9003, which has been disconnected. Do you know of a more recent business # for them? I'd like to find a shop in OC when I do my hoses. Gracias!

Rob--

Sorry nothing better. I did mine back in aught-ninety-eight, the summer after I bought the car. Gosh, that's eight years ago now... Time flies when you're having fun in a 928 I guess. Plus I moved from OC maybe five years ago now. AM must have really missed my business!

Any good hydrauilic/industrial hose shop can refit you with new rubber on your ends/fittngs. There are a couple of them here in sunny Glendale, including Hose Man. Take a look at the SoCal website under services, and look at some comments from Dan Bise on the shops he "tested" when he made his FI pressure test manifold. There were some he liked and some he didn't like. It's almost a crap-shoot these days, with the quality of the individual you work with there a bigger factor than which shop you go to.
