I use Charley's technique. If you have nice cam covers, you could put a rag, etc. on top to pry against. Seems like a simple logical technique, since you are prying against the plastic boot. Am I missing something here?

Stan - The only thing you're missing is broken connectors. Until I figured out the pry method I could count on one or two breaking, per eight, if the wire set was over ten years old.
