The sad sight of my uncovered S4 in Holland. Just got a little more of the white stuff today, but spring is right around the corner!

The Reynolds 390 alloy used in the engine block is an amazingly beautiful material. Some before and after pics I took yesterday to show you what it looks like when it's clean:

No, we just used some paint brushes, Histo-Clear (citus-based solvent), Simple Green, water & some elbow grease. It went through 3 cycles of this process.

Other parts only need one cycle, like this timing belt backing plate:

Here's a couple of my car. She's 1978 #0941 oakgrun 5sp. LSD with a transplanted '81 Euro S motor. 68000 miles on chassis, 100K+ on the transplant. It's got Konis, Hypercoils and S4 brakes. Interior is pretty good, it was a Canadian car before I got it back in '00. I repainted it myself. Other bits include '85 manifolds, a short-shifter (courtesy of DevekDay 03), 928 Motorsports solid rack mounts, shifter cup, some other stuff I can't remember. The engine pic was during the Euro S infusion. I did a lot of stuff down there- EVERYTHING needed to be done after 30 years! Dan Brindle even built me a new main harness!
