Well, while you're at it....t-belt/w-pump job - 1 day after. Success! (no chirps, grinds, leaks, thumps, creaks, hisses, steam or smoke....and.....no leftover bolts!).

Wish I could say the same.
I have hit a few bumps during the TB/WP job and now need a radiator.
Anyway, how do y'all like my 'redneck' fender service covers? Padded moving blankets folded double and duct tapped to the inner fender lips. The front section is an old bath towel folded double. Hope they do the job.....

Well, what really makes them official redneck fender covers is if the Chevette they are placed on has chrome Cragar S/S rims with white letter tires on it.
The rims must have slight rust and be missing at least 3 lug nuts from various positions and at least 1 broken stud. Only then, are they uncontestable.

Larry, that's a great picture. Looks like something from a R/T Roadtest. Just need to photoshop the date out of the corner.
Shane - is Hammertone a powdercoat? It looks like a great finish to use on those parts. Looks like it would be nicer than the factory finish.
(and to keep within the reg's of this thread, here's a random, unrelated-to-anything picture)

There were lots of Pcars but only one 928. Where were all of the Atlanta sharks? There will be at least two next month if I can get the wife to drive hers.

Yes Hammertone is a powder coat. It has a smoother finish than the standard wrinckle finish, which gives it a bit more shine but still hides the casting imperfections.

That's the place. The Avenues of East Cobb. I didn't know about it either until just before this month's gathering. It's the first Saturday of each month from 8:30 - 11:00 and from what I heard, it gets bigger every month. I hope to see you there April 5th. This pic was taken around 8:30. You gotta get there early to get a spot in line with our Pcar brethren.
