Default S4 temperature regulator housing removal

Hi, my '90 S4 auto is leaking water from where the regulator housing joins with the ?water pump?. I believe that there is a 53 by 7 o-ring in that junction. Can anyone advise what needs to removed to replace this o-ring - it looks like the oil filler, and hence inlet manifold, may need to be removed, also some ?fuel? lines that run across the front of the housing. Thanks, Myles

Thanks heinrich. Do I need to get gaskets for the inlet manifold if I move it out of the way?. Cheers

Probably, they aren't that expensive. It may not be necessary to do that Myles. Someone asked this very question very recently. Remove the thermostat housing elbow before you pull the bridge, it will give you more room...
