Default Oregon DEQ passed

I have been unusually busy the last few weeks, so of course, I waited to the last minute to get DEQ'ed.

I had to fab a bracket to hold the air pump, reinstall the factory exhaust system, reset the valve timing (0°), ignition timing (23°), and adjust the AFM screw (6 turns). (I didn't bother to clean the 2+ year old Silver spark plugs.)

I passed easily, though. Oregon dropped the roller tests, so the results are much simpler, now.

1981 928 152K miles

HC(PPM): limit 220 | idle 11 | 2500rpm 12
CO(%): limit 1.0 | idle 0.0112 | 2500rpm 0.0119
Dilution(PPM) limit 6.0 | idle 13.7 | 2500rpm 12.9

I'm not sure what the 'dilution' is, and the OR DEQ website is not very informative, but I think it's added air, and it must be higher than the minimum?

I did find that I probably didn't need the air pump, as they don't test for NOx, and they didn't open the hood. They did look for the cat, though.

For vehicles 1981 and newer that receive a basic test, the vehicle must pass both an idle and 2500 RPM emissions test. A second idle test is given if the vehicle failed the first idle test.

Section 3: Missing/Altered Equipment
If the vehicle requires an under the hood inspection, the equipment listed here is inspected to see if it's been removed or altered. On 1980 and older vehicles, only the catalytic converter is inspected.
It's so quiet compared to my 3" exhaust, although there is a resonnance at idle. Coolant temps are much hotter at stock settings, compared to the 4-5° cam advance, and 30°ish ignition that I normally run.
