POC Laguna Weekend (Anderson 928 racing)

Maybe it's just intrinsic in the track to car setup? I guess if exhaust decreased output and moved his power around and there's wasn't much time to re-tune gearing and/or driving technique, maybe he ended up with a less than optimal setup for him to deal with and the track could have been in-between his comfort zone to make it even worse.
Sorta levels the playing field if he's used to relying on more than enough extra oomph to get by you and make up for less-than-stellar driving elsewhere; now he has just a little extra oomph to get around you, but his driving will have to be up to snuff.
Bottom line = You spanked him!!

Congratulations Mark!!
So what do the other teams say to you after such a race? This kind of performance must surely make a few people second guess the idea about running a 928 in POC events. I frankly cannot think of a better advertisement for the 928 as a race car than this, not to mention the other successes you've had. It sure casts some doubt on Porsche to not have developed this model a bit better for competition purposes.
This sure is inspiring to me as I do the 5 speed conversion to my 86.5 928S track car. I'm now glad it didn't sell after all! It's also stopped my lusting after a GT3.

Miller Motorsports park looked like a nice open track from watching the ALMS coverage on TV earlier this year.
Mark A. and Joe Fan's going to have great time tearing up the track.
Anyone close by going to get some video of that?

'tis the mettle of the man that determines the outcome.
Absolutely fantastic accomplishment and kudos to you Mark. You did us all proud.
Y'all that were there - there has to be a video. Somebody somewhere had to have recorded this. Any ideas on where to start looking or asking?

Um....the, uh, drivers of the turbo beasts if they didn't burn the tapes discs already.
Actually one could scour youtube and streetfire.net. Especially streetfire, a lot of racing footage tends to end up there.

This is when it all goes wrong in an RSR. Some profanity in German but otherwise safe for work.
