Well, again, from MY 83 onwards, phone dials were standard in Europe/ROW, and forged slotted wheels were an expensive option. That lasted up to the 86 MY, where the S4 brakes did not fit under the phone dials. That's when they disappeared from production forever...

It would certainly be interesting to know, if this one has ABS. One of the advantages of the Euro models.

Either way, I think colledtors will rather go after that unique, rare, and very special $75k Weissach that's currently on ebay. I mean, why buy a really immaculate low mileage Euro, when you can have a ratty Weissach for almost four times the price?

This car has the very rare "solid 24 karat gold door panels" option, with aftermarket diamond-encrusted speakers. So at <$20K, it's a vertitable steal.

I'm glad I don't have that sound upgrade much prefer my unadulterated door trims, especially since I have fitted them with Alpine tweeters and woofers. It has a much cleaner look.

IMHO anyway.

Those were the sports seats at the time. AFAIK they changed them in 1985.
Period 911 seats had different shape lower part than these. On 928 like this it's straight while in 911 it's curves outside at front. So these should be original 928 style sport seats used in '78-84 MY. On 4.5L 928 in '81 and '82 MY at least basic seat was 911 style but they are different than these sports.

I also believe slot wheels were optional instead being standard in ROW S models after end of '82 MY when 4.5L production ended. In '80-82 MY S it was other way around and phone dials were optional AFAIK.

S4 brakes do fit under phones but clearance is too tight for factory to consider using them. It's maybe 1 or 2 mm at front. Even smallest stones will cause problems and depending on how worn brakes are they might stratch in some situations.

Wow! Another nice example of a well kept not made anymore car. Luv the piping on the seats and the ext. color.
