Default NEW ENGLAND ride & gawk (this Sat.)

There is a car show in Merrimack NH this saturday. I have been to it the last 2 years. It was where I saw chuck's "kermit" before he bought it. It's an all inclusive exotic car show meaning porsche, ferrari, lotus, lambo, and vipers. The guy who organizes it is the NE viper club chairman.

It has been well attended in the past with i'd say at least 75 cars and often very unique ones including a GT 40 real one, porsche race cars, sunbeams, etc. It is held on the grounds of the Budweiser plant, which is a very nice place with shade. They have had music and good food.

What most interests me is the fact that its location provides for some actual driving. Then you can see some cars as rare as ours. The people are all friendly and its a good time. I have been the lone 928 in the past besides kermit and would love to see a crowd of the best looking and sounding cars show up.

The location is right off the highway. Who would like to go? Nominal fee for charity.

I'd like to see you there, It would be nice to see a SC 928 because there would be ample oppurtunity to show other marques what it can do. But if you really wanted to Gretch, you could spare 5 or 6 hours and bring a bottle of whine. Hell, you are the boss of the operation.

The show is mainly a morning thing, by noontime it's time to go.

If it rains I may go. I have a gang mower that needs a new gear box, but I can do that after sundown.

How about the Tomaso boys, Rick, Tass, SMT, Worf & Wife, Stan, Old & New (still around?), The donut men, and all the other NE lurkers who post once in a while. This would be a nice ride up and a great place to compare and see just about everything else on the market.

The weather keeps changing but looks good from clear to 30% showers. And it's an easy ride up on good roads that would be fairly empty on an early saturday morning.

Well I was SUPPOSED to be in Nova Scotia this weekend, but work put the Kaibash (sp?) on that. Not sure I want to run the miles up on the 928 going up to NH for a daytrip...but WTH at least I finally have some comfort level that it will make the drive without incident-- that was a few years coming!

That was really a cool show. All the cars any of us have ever daydreamed of owning or driving.
