stuck CV joints
86.5, so it has the welded wheel-end bearing and the removable transmission-end CV joint.
I need to pull the CV off to put new boots on and clean it up. But it won't pull. Not with a 'gentle' tap from a hammer or even a wheel puller as described in other posts. I'm pulling at 30 ft/lbs on the wheel puller crank, and still nothing is moving (snap ring is off). I'm worried if I pull harder I'll start to damage the cv joint. It's the same on both sides... how can I safely pull this thing?
I'm sending the driver's side back as a core for the rebuilt one I bought, and just putting boots/grease on the passengers. But the passenger's side wheel end bearing has a problem- the flange part that comes down on to accept the boot is bent pretty badly. I'd like to switch it with the one on the driver's side. Is it possible to remove this part (like it is on the CV joint) or is that molded/welded on?
Thanks!

i hope you are pulling only on the transmission side inner race with the locking snap ring, the outer race and ***** removed first. if so then you may need some heat to help. best of luck.

Hi try hitting the inner race with a thick drift and hammer sometimes just pulling with the puller will jamb the snapring and make removal near impossible
