Default Just Got My Powder Coater In

I ordered a powder coating unit fom Eastwood with some of the silver vein paint - just got it in - whoohoo!

I am doing an R&R on my intake, and took it all apart tonight. I was able to peel most of the paint off by hand, and will strip it tomorrow.

I picked up an old double oven for $25 'cause I think the wife would shoot me if I used the one in the kitchen.

I'm out of town for the weekend, but when I get back I'll outgass the intake then try to powder coat it. I'll post pics. of the results. If it doesn't work out, no big deal - I'll restrip and send it out for coating. If it does work, I'll go powder coating crazy!

Why am I doing this, you may ask? Well, I've got to make sure the engine compartment looks good for the Murf supercharger I just ordered!!

Make sure you out gas the manifold before you coat it.. bake it for 15-20 mins at 400 or so.. I picked up a powder coater from them as well.. Have fun with it and good luck!!!

Nick - gas is a big issue in my household, so yes, I'll be sure to outgass it!!
Have you had a chance to use yours, and how well did it turn out?

Cheers
