lol! Yup! Lots of emails no PMs (yet!)

While I do have a couple other options, but what you see is about as good as its going gets. There is a .Tif file option but those are HUGE and hard to send. But I might be able to make something with it that is a little better than the jpg.

Anyway I’ll be returning to the site tomorrow to finish up some work and I’ll make a copy of the that larger tif image and see if I can’t get something with a bit more resolution. But don’t get you’re hopes up too much because it is an X-Ray - not one of those Hollywood “light & magic” prop images. This is the real deal.

Hope that clears things up for some of you?
How does that product even stay on the market? Un-be-lie-vable, but probably pretty accurate. Nice pic. What's that small, white image haze I see just behind the rear seat? Looks to be obscured by the deck area, about the size of a kilo of the finest? Hmmm? Well?

I just grabbed a copy of the image right off the forum. I can fiddle with it in photoshop, but it's pretty good just the way it is. I might try sneaking up the contrast just a bit, but it'll loose some pixelization, and maybe not be as 'readable' after that.

Ok all joking aside I figured I'd show you what my system is capable of. The system I work on used two x-ray methods – the first is called a transmission image that is similar to what most of us would think of when we think of an X-Ray in that is shows the skeletal structure or denser items. The second is called Backscatter – this is a proprietary x-ray technique utilizes the mostly un-used x-rays that scatter or refract (much the way light does) when it hits something and is picked up by some secondary detectors that give you an image that shows organics or low z material like drugs, plastics etc.

Anyway while I can’t show you images from any US federal agencies (wouldn’t want to go to jail ) especially current cases, I can show you some images from my company’s image bank & website taken with systems in use in other parts of the world.

Backscatter Image

Transmission Image

I won’t tell you where this is save to say that it isn’t at a US Port of Entry. As you can plainly see the people trying to hide inside the cargo compartment of this truck.

Pretty cool eh?
