Hey Pfunde,
if yours is the standard 4 branch wheel, then I have a couple in stock. I can re-cover one of mine and send it to you. You send me yours once you have made the change. I will charge you a small core fee that will be refunded as soon as I receive your wheel back.

Hey Tim,
I can do the 930 wheel for you. The price would be the same. But I don't have one in hand, so I would need yours to re-cover.

And as insightfully noted by Greg, at the price I'm offering this, I'm not making enough to offer further discounts.

My wife did most of the lacing and if she had been in charge of pricing, the wheels would have been $10,000.00

But until now, there really wasn't any alternative.

So Paul, is the leather you are using similar to the OE leather? Vat dyed or surface? Since the airbag wheels can't use you center pad, do you have a different price for those? If you haven't done one yet, I'd be happy to offer up my wheel for a classic gray re-hab. Let me know. Thanks.
Hey Andrew,

I can use any leather you want. I have some Porsche classic gray in stock which is both vat dyed and top coated.

I will make a center pad cover for the airbag wheels. That will not affect the function of the bag.
But I do not have one on hand, so I would need yours to re-cover.

Cool! So I assume you'd want the airbag module too? How easily can we send these things? Would hate for the charge to go off inside the UPS truck and give the poor bastard a heart attack.

How much time do think you'd need to have it?

Hey Sterling,

the color is called "dark camel" but I only have this one full hide.
I found your leather by the way. I will have the actual sample here tomorrow.

Best way will be to remove the module from the steering wheel. Just send me the wheel and cover. I'm pretty sure the cover separates from the airbag module itself.

Would a regular steering wheel fit on the hub in the mean time?
Because I would need the wheel for about a week, since I have to make a template of that model.

Paul, you do fabulous work, as usual. I look forward to you redoing my interior soon.

Shame on those that asked for a discount! For $185 where the hell are you going to find something like that!

Ok Paul. I'm working on the car right now, and I have a show on Friday, but I can send it to you after that if that's okay. I'll see if I can borrow a steering wheel in the interim - Big Dave's car isn't running! Why don't you tell me how much after you get it as there might be more involved for the airbag wheels. Let me know where to send it.

The shaft diameter is different on airbag cars so early wheels will NOT work. And frankly Paul I agree with your wife you have greatly underpriced a completed wheel. At $285 it would be a bargain ! Last I checked the original 4 spoke wheel new was about $900 as I recall. The quality of the work you do seems very high there is little competition so why under estimate the value of what you and she do ?

Thanks for clarifying Jim. I guess i'll just have to be down for a bit then... No biggie.

As for the value... I agree with Jim. Bump it up $100. It's not easy work. Your wife deserves som of the benefit.
