Hi the most likly place for the rear air to leak is under the car where the lines connect to the bottom of the A/C connections look for a wet area it will be obvious, also the rear air the radiator part will most likly be leaking from the hard lines to the core the hard lines are copper and are swaged and sealed to the aluminum core I fixed mine by removiing the , part and cleaninging it out then I used the PRC fuel tank sealant on the lines where they were swaged together I used a scotchbrite pad to abrade the surface then put a piece of tape around the lines and put the sealant onto the lines , PRC or also called Flamemasterjet fuel tank sealant can be gotten at the local aircraft supply house it is a 2 part mix and takes about 4 days to fully cure

You don't have to yell at us!
It would help a lot if we knew what model year 928 you have. On the early S4s, fuse #13 is a good suspect.
If the fuse is OK, check to make sure that the solenoid under the floor is working. If not, check for bad connections at the controls.

Sorry about the caps. Did not know that bothered anyone. The ride is a 1991 GT. As I said, the front unit is cold but the back is not. Both were before .Under the floor where? This relates to the rear unit?

Since the front and rear units share the same freon resevoir and you just had it recharged, level/leak shouldn't be an issue. There are a few unique components though. The front and rear each have their own blower, climate control, evaporator and expansion valves. If the blower is working, I would suspect the climate control. It is adjusted using the **** (potentiometer) next to the rear blower setting. Are the connections on the rear of the connector ok? They should be if you haven't been behind the center console recently.
Since my 928 HVAC studies haven't had to deal with this specific issue yet, I'm not sure what the pot controls; could be a flappy thing used to adjust the temp mixture. I'll be digging into it myself since I'm replacing all the O rings and drier in my own HVAC system right now.
Hope this helps.

Can you get off the CAPS thing. Please read the previous post. The only reason caps bother you is someone told you they do. Some people are more concerned with the process than the problem .
