Beware, if I find an ebay item that I likely would not generally find, I will research the bidders on an advanced search to see what else they have bid on to see if they found any other rare or bargain items - and, if being an agressive bidder, might run up bidding on other items or - if a collection - pick off an early part of the set to eliminate that bidder from bidding on the rest of the items.
Auctions are a very unique form of free enterprise with all sorts of curious twists.
So... knowing your ebay ID I'll just have to keep checking in to see what you found...
Somehow, that probably was not your goal, no?
Oh well, anyway...
(Actually, I won't really do that as I regularly do a search on "928" "porsche" anyway.

That's why I never bid until the very end. I also research the other bidders to see what they're bidding on, what they've purchased in the past and their bidding "style".
For example, if there's a bidder that won an auction for a set of wheels last week and one of the wheels were damaged (as described in the auction). There's a pretty good chance that they'll be very aggressive when bidding on a single wheel (that matches the other 3) that's currently up for auction.
The reason Ebay does not want people to use their email address / web address is because of money. If a seller's email address is Iluv928@yahoo.com, someone can send them an email and offer to buy the item. The seller is motivated because there are no ebay fees. This is obviously very risky.
In addition, all emails sent by one ebay member to another (not pertaining to a current auction) contains a disclaimer stating that it's against policy to contact another member concerning the sale of an item outside of ebay.
I think its starting to get out of hand honestly what with listing fees and final value fees and on top of that the 3% pay pal takes as well which i assume will be rising as well in the next few months.
