Default Painting S4 calipers

After doing a search on the subject, I went ahead to strip and paint 2 sets of S4 calipers. Duplicolor red caliper paint, several coats, and clear high temp engine enamel. They have 2 coats of red so far in the pics.
I stripped the calipers with paint stripper and noticed that they were black annodized aluminum with a clear coat from the factory. I am thinking that our S4 intakes are similar because of the black color we think is primer under the original finish. Didn't know this.
It is quite a bit of work to completely strip the calipers in every nook and cranny and mask it all off for paint. If I had a set of beat up S4 calipers in the future I would probably strip and just re-clear coat them. Lots of work anyways.
Anyway, I'm going to go the Jay Kempf route with all 9" club sport wheels and be done farting around with wheels. I am keeping my current wheels also, a good set is hard to find. (Dave C has dibbs on my GTS brakes when they come off.)

there is no black anodized finish on the intake. The intake is a magnesium allow that in its raw state is a medium to dark grey color.

I love your clubsport wheels!

Nice job. After I did my first set of repainting on the Carrera (stock brakes), I realized I spent a lot of time on cleanup, and then they end up getting a little dirty, and nobody sees the backsides anyway. When I put big brakes on the 911, I really concentrated on the exposed faces, and did a so-so job on the backside.
