Default Rough Running Motor Malady

Ok folks,

just had the ISV unit replaced last month on my early 86 32 valver after chasing surging idle, rough running conditions, hard starts and generally poor running conditions at low speeds for the past year.
The engine responded beautifully and was silky smooth until yesterday when it died in traffic idling up a hill. Also started to take two-three times to turn over and has a slight surging at around 1200-1400 rpm's.
Other items replaced are: new o2 sensor, plugs, MAF o-rings,wires,intake boots, vacum lines etc.
Mods include Autothority software,x-pipe with no cats.
Some have said a RRFPR is needed.
Any Ideas?

Thanks RDS
