Default Today's burnout on film

Ahhhh... there's nothing like waking up the neighborhood with a nice dose of melted rubber. It's no Bill Ball burnout, but it's my fist one caught on film. Two things to note:

1. Yes, I run like a girl!
2. Check out the ant on the left side of the screen. He ducks for cover just in time!

Enjoy!

Awesome - Even a classic LeMans start!

Hey, why was only one tire spinning?

If I ever filmed something like that - I would be half way home then realize - "CRAP, the camera!!!"

Keep on motoring

Catless X-pipe with stock rear muffler. RMB is on the wall waiting for install.

Will you be adding an adjustable or rising rate fuel pressure regulator, since the engine will tend to 'lean out' at the higher rpm's when you use the Xpipe. This is according to DR at 928SP, and certainly would seem to help. Others with this problem or suggestion?

Thanks,

Roland

Awesome. Andrew, tried a staged burnout before? put a little water on your tires to facilitate a stress-free, low rpm launch, and once the clutch is lifted, with your left foot, gently press the brake to slow/stop the car from rolling, meanwhile watching your rpms so you don't bang it off the rev limiter. Works great!

Here's a poor example: http://videos.streetfire.net/recentv...2A0B52D718.htm

Nice try for a burnout but you can do better than that!

Actually, when I'm on WOT (and hitting the rev limiter) I am actually quite rich. 9.5-10.5:1 The only issue that I'm having fuel wise is I'm getting a slight lean issue when rolling on (not hitting WOT, but accelerating). This has to do witht he fuel maps. As I understand it, the LH has 3 maps: idle, cruise, and WOT. Under the cruise fuel map, we're running out of adjustment with the LH, so the solution may be either tricking the LH into thinking we have 24# injectors (I'm running 30#), or move up to a bigger injector, or both. I know DR is working on it. He was waiting for the EZK software first, so the "fix" for this issue is just around the corner.

That's pretty cool Andrew!

...and you actually run pretty good, not like a woman at all. More like some guy worried about running over his camera!

OK I'm a little confused. I've read on all the sites...928's, Paragon's, etc. that modifications especially to the exhaust which will decrease resistance will cause the engine to 'lean out'. Now the onboard computer should compensate for changes in air intake or exhaust, but to what degree? I understand that a rising rate fuel pressure regulator allows for the optimum air/fuel mixture. The dyno results for X pipes (regardless of who's selling them) definitely shows a little fall-off at the higher RPM's associated with a 'lean' state. Am I off base or can someone smarter than me (that won't take much) help.
