I recently purchased a black 85. The rear PORSCHE insignia needs a new decal or paint. It looks like the remainder of the old one is still there. How would you guys recommend I remove the remnants of the old one which looks to be the adhesive bottom remaining without taking paint away in the process. Also does anyone have a trick replacement. Paint or otherwise. A new Insignia is $35 !!! Seems steep for a pinstriping decal.....

Hi you can use PB blaster or Goo gone, on the old decal park the car in the sun to warm things up use on;ly enough to get the decal wet and let it soak then with a sharp piece of plastic gently slide the glue off try not to let the PB run all over the paint. when your done wash the panel with car soap, I like the factory sticker but that is up to you. To make putting the new sticker on get a spray bottle with about 8 oz of water and 1 oz of alchohol mixed this will let the sticker slide to position it properly, dab dry with a clean towel

We have a decal replacement also - it's 3dimensional material, and available for all 928 models. It's available in many colors, and I usually stock them in red, black, silver, and chrome. Cost is $38
