I am not sure if any racing clutches are being offered on a production basis. If you want to spend the money you can fabricate some components to use a Tilton clutch.
You can check with the 928 vendors to see who has what, I know there was discussion in the past about offering a higher performance version. I would suggest confirming with an end user how the installation was, as well as the function.

Is there a racing variety clutch for the 928? My SCCA driving buddy feels the intermediate plate adds complexity to the process and is curious about replacement options.
As for me, I've just learned what a slave cyclinder is.

Wanted to revive this thread (if possible) as the "hibernation" season approaches for us midwestern 928 owners. Also known as time in dry dock to dink around under the car..
I do get grinding as I put the car into reverse. But I need to try Erik's suggestion of waiting 5 seconds at a stop light. I plan to wait to do this until a Mercedes owner is behind me.
Another symptom of my shifting is that if I leave the car in fourth gear and come to a stop, I occasionally find it impossible to get the car out of fourth gear. I have had to turn the car off, pull it out of gear with the engine off, and then restart the car. The ever-patient Chicago drivers love it when this process bleeds over into the green light. Any ideas what this sticky fourth gear might be caused by?
Thanks as always.
And how 'bout them Bears...!??!
